About
Jamie started as a photojournalist whose images were driven by her love for humanity and storytelling. Named “10 of Singapore’s best Young Photographers” by CNNgo, she was selected to take part in the inaugural Junior Shooting Home Workshop 2011. She was also chosen by the National Arts Council that year to represent Singapore as a photojournalist during the annual ASEAN Youth Culture Camp 2011, which took place in Magelang, Indonesia.
A decade later, Jamie is still freelancing and now brings her expertise in visual storytelling to art and project management. Jamie’s unique understanding of both the creative world and management has led her to work on various projects with organisations and private clients within the art, events, and design industry.
Jamie believes in teaching and giving back to the community. She has an ACLP 2.0 certification and makes time every year to lend her skills to charities and international NGOs such as the Singapore International Foundation, Results in Health (Netherlands), Fondo De Mujeres Del Sur (Argentina), various animal welfare groups, and teaches Photovoice as a methodology for Outcome Harvesting and Community Empowerment.
When she is not putting out fires from her projects, Jamie blogs at No Foreign Lands, speaks five languages and tries her best to read 100 books a year.
